Hey everyone this is Pye,
Yesterday I had the privilege of hanging out with my friends and gorgeous clients Fariba and Shervin. Our couple was loving the idea of a secluded public beach for their location, so the first location that came to mind was Victoria Beach in the city of Laguna Beach. Victoria Beach is a wonderful cliffy beach with tide pools that provides a lot more interesting shots than just a standard beach.
Shervin and Fariba, I had a blast and I must say that both of you were quite stunning. Congratulations and I am looking forward to the wedding! Enjoy the pics guys.
Even though I was carrying quite a bit, I can’t resist snapping a few on-the-way-candids when we are having so much fun. Here we are just heading down the pathway to Victoria Beach to start our engagement photography session.

We started our Victoria Beach engagement session with our usual Lin and Jirsa style portrait session. So, we found a nice shaded area and started goofing around.

Gorgeous eyes, gorgeous eyes, gorgeous eyes… What else can I say?

Here we are heading around to the back side of Victoria Beach to the tide pool area to continue our shoot. Shervin and Fariba are having a bit of fun with their special Donald Ducky.

We started the second part of our engagement photography session in the Victoria Beach tide pool just as the sun was setting. I love using the sun to create halos.

Why not take advantage of the gorgeous Victoria Beach tide pools and shoot some reflection shots while we are at it.

There were just enough clouds in the sky to create this gorgeous and dramatic scene. We had been walking around Victoria Beach so long that I thought it was only appropriate that our couple took a seat.

Jumping shots are cool, but why not do some unique ones. Had to get really low for this, but I think it turned out quite well. I loved the tree to the side, so I made sure it stayed in the photo so I could turn it to a silhouette.

We began winding up our Victoria Beach engagement photo shoot by just taking it easy and relaxing to watch the sunset.

The lighting at Victoria Beach was so interesting. The sun had already set at this time, but if you shoot towards the West, you would get these super nice warm antique tones while if you shoot towards the East we would get nice colder blue tones. Made for awesome variety.

I have a new technique I have been developing which produces an amazingly tiny depth of field on a wide angle shot. While they are extremely difficult to pull off since the shots are composed of over 40-50 individual shots each. Here is one of them below. This was taken just in front of the Victoria Beach tide pools on our way out.
