A couple weekends back, we had the chance to hang out with Elaine, Drake, and their two dogs in Oakland, CA. The weather was beautiful; and the park was so peaceful, an ideal scene for our lovely couple. What’s even better is that the park is where Elaine and Drake go on weekend walks with their dogs each week, so it was a great sentimental location for the shoot.
Being in the park really removes you from the city and puts you in the wilderness. It’s hard to imagine that the I-880 is just a couple miles away. Anyways, I had a great time, and I can’t wait for the wedding. Congratulations guys and enjoy the images!

Stairs can make interesting backdrops when bokehed out

The Joaquin Miller Park also has a beautiful body of water, where we were able to play with their reflections a little bit.

The Joaquin Miller Park had some beautiful trees that made for some interesting ‘upgrounds’

These trees at Joaquin Miller Park were also perfect for some intimate shots

Our couple was daring enough to sit down in the field in their wedding attire before the wedding.

Here we’re juxtaposing their beautiful suit and dress against the natural wooded feeling of their environment.

Here Elaine and Drake Strolled down the path at Joaquin Miller Park as I stood back and captured some nice candid moments
