Recently, we had the pleasure of shooting our friends Pejman and Goli’s engagement session in San Juan Capistrano. Now, before you go all gaga over this couple, might I say that they are both as smart as they are good looking. Goli is a practicing lawyer from Berkley Law and Pejman is an Electrical Engineer running his own chip design company with his family. Though I think once they know how good they look behind a camera, they might consider moonlighting as models. So, between chatting, hanging out and in general just having a blast, we did manage to fire of at least a few shots. Might I add that I think Pejman and Goli will be quite pleased with their photos.
Anyway, we started the engagement shoot at the San Juan Capistrano train station before heading over to Old Town San Juan Capistrano. I think the entire city of San Juan Capistrano has to be one of my new favorite shoot locations. There is just so much to work with, its incredible. We were having so much fun goofing around and having fun that the session was over and we had over a hundred amazing shots for our couple. So, enjoy the shots guys, we are looking forward to the wedding!

Here we have them sharing an intimate moment at the train station in San Juan Capistrano.

Pejman + Goli were quite daring, as they sat on the train tracks and posed for a few backlit shots.

Often times, the moment lies in the details.

A wide venue shot of Villa Del Sol. We loved the Spanish Architecture, and we were blessed that day with beautiful blue skies.
A detailed shot of their wedding cake.
In Lin and Jirsa Fashion, we always challenge ourselves each wedding to come up with an even more creative ring shot than the last.
Here’s a nice close up of Aarein placing a ring on Jonathan’s finger during the ceremony at Villa Del Sol.
And here’s their intimate first kiss.
Rows of arches are utilized to create a nice sense of depth, as illustrated by these at the Villa Del Sol.
We used a fisheye lens in this shot to distort the buildings around Jonathan and Aarein in order to frame (and sort of nestle) them in the scene.
We used a few camera tricks for these images below. To see our technique, feel free to check out
And a close up of the same scene as above in the streets outside of Villa Del Sol.
Here’s an image of their entrance to the Villa Del Sol reception area.
All eyes were on the bride and groom during their entrance.
The bride and groom shared a wonderful first dance.
The night wound down with dancing and a few emotional hugs, as pictured below.
