This month, we had the chance Katy and Scott’s engagement session at the Fullerton Arboretum. Katy is actually one of our associate photographers, so I must admit that shooting her engagement photos did make me a bit nervous, as Katy has quite the photography eye herself. But, we all had a blast; and I think they will agree that the pictures turned out awesome!
Anyway, we found a lot of great locations and spots to shoot, and with Max’s help on lighting, we really pulled off some unique shots. So Katy and Scott, congratulations, enjoy the pictures and we are looking forward to shooting the wedding!

So we started the session with one of our usual LJP style portrait sessions to get Katy and Scott into the “photography” mood. Katy was quite cute in her discomfort of being on the other side of the lens for a change, but after a few minutes we all started getting into the groove.

Being a photographer herself, Katy made our job easier by coming up with poses for her and her hubby to do.

I definitely must say that the Fullerton Arboretum is one of our new favorite spots in the Orange County area for engagement photography. We also saw a wedding actually taking place in the arboretum courtyard. It looks like a great place for a wedding venue, so keep it in mind all you future brides! =)

We had some fun with the reflections at the Fullerton arboretum

Katy’s style resonates from head to toe.

Night time came quickly, which gave us the opportunity to play with the lighting and create some interesting images.

This is our favorite shot of the day at the Fullerton arboretum. We hope you like it too!
