Max (our second shooter) and I took a road trip up to Ventura/Oxnard, CA a couple of weekends back to the Olivas Adobe Historical Park for the wedding of Nicolette and Israel. The venue was calm and serene; and you could just sense the history behind the old buildings. Under the nice cloud cover, there bride and groom were united in front of their close family and friends. If you would like to see more images, please continue reading below and view our slideshow. Also, if you would like to see images of the entire event, please email chris@linandjirsa.com; and he will add you to the event guestlist when the images are ready.
Max ran up the steps to the balcony of the Olivas Adobe Historical Park home and captured this image of their first kiss.

More information about Olivas Adobe Historical Park according to their website: “Born in 1809 in Los Angeles, Raymundo Olivas was the seventh child of a poor family. Raymundo began ranching his land in 1847. The main house for the Rancho San Miguel was one of the few two-story haciendas in Southern California and one of the most impressive homes in the Santa Clara River Valley. In 1848, gold was discovered in the American River and California changed forever. People came from all over the world to mine for gold. Knowing that the miners needed food, Raymundo’s cattle herd became his gold mine.”
