We met Mike and Julie a little while back in the San Diego area, when we did their engagement session over in the Oceanside Pier. A few months passed, and it was finally time for their big day! We flew out to Ohio to capture these amazing moments. The color in the leaves and the stunning cloud cover provide the perfect backdrop for their emotional ceremony.
Sarah’s Vineyard was a picturesque scene for moments like this.
You can see the happiness in Mike’s face, as they said their wedding vows under the beautiful Ohio sky.
After the ceremony, we spent some time around Sarah’s Vineyard, exploring their beautiful vineyard and taking full advantage of its beauty.
We also found a nice, peaceful forested area for some more private moments.
The amazing Cuyahoga Falls sky helped us create this lasting imagery.

After our couples session, we went over to the Roses Run Country Club in Stow, Ohio where the wedding party and their guests danced, toasted, and celebrated throughout the night.

Last month, we flew out to Illinois for the wedding of Callista and Peter. The entire trip was a great time, from exploring St. Louis Gateway arch and eating all of the great food to hanging out with Callista and Peter on their memorable wedding day. The wedding took place at Pere Marquette Lodge, a quaint venue in Grafton, Illinois. It was a marriage of two cultures, Peter’s Jewish culture and Callista’s Taiwanese culture. The combination created beautiful and unique moments for us to capture. Thank you both for allowing us to be a part of your big day; and we hope you enjoy your images. Callista + Peter got the party started at the Pere Marquette Lodge, as the Illinois nighttime came upon us.
The live band rocked the house; and dancing and celebration lasted throughout the evening.
The band’s lively music resonated throughout the Pere Marquette Lodge.
Their first dance, with the symmetrical chandeliers and the beautifully lit wall combined to create this lasting image.

I love this image because it shows the combination of cultures, with our bride wearing a traditional Chinese dress, but being lifted up in her chair, as part of the Jewish wedding tradition.
Here’s another shot of the same moment, this time from a different angle with a slightly slower shutter speed to capture the motion and excitement of the moment.
