About a week ago, we had the chance to meet up with Jonathan and Melissa up in Los Angeles. We started off around Hollywood before heading up on a short hike at Griffith Park. We ended up at the bottom of the trail in front of the Griffith Observatory for some night shots in front of the classic, beautiful structure that’s been a classic icon of Los Angeles since the 1920s.
Jonathan and Melissa were such naturals in front of the camera, posing, playing, and creating great moments with minimal directing. They were also great sports for their willingness to sit (literally) anywhere, from the dirt/grass at Griffith Park to public escalators in the city. (I think the images are worth it :) We ended up tons of great shots, and I had the hardest time choosing the handful for the blog. The diversity in scenes, the great weather, and, of course, the wonderful couple came together to create the images below. Enjoy!

Griffith Park has a multitude of shaded areas that create a great backdrop for engagement photography.

Even after our half mile hike up the Trails of Griffith Park, Jonathan and Melissa still managed to look good.

The hike was well worth the efforts, as it led to some gorgeous views of the Hollywood sign on the beautiful Los Angeles day.

As the sun set over the Los Angeles sky, some beautiful colors came into view and created a great backdrop for Melissa and Jonathan.

We ended the session with some shots of the Griffith Observatory right before the sun disappeared on us.

Griffith Observatory is located at: 2800 East Observatory Road Los Angeles, CA 90027 (213) 473-0800
