Yorba Linda Nixon Library Wedding Photography | Pejman and Goli Couples

Last weekend, our team had the chance to shoot the wedding of our good friends Pejman and Goli at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, CA. You may recognize Pejman and Goli from the fun San Juan Capistrano Train Station and Old Town Engagement shoot. After having so much fun with them on our engagement shoot, we were super excited to see them again on their big day.

Pejman and Goli had a Persian wedding ceremony in the outdoor portion of the Richard Nixon Library, followed by an elegant reception in the beautiful reception hall of the Richard Nixon Library. This is probably one of my favorite locations to shoot, with gorgeous chandeliers, beautiful decor, and a great mood lighting it was hard not to come out with great shots! We normally post around 10 pictures from each wedding, but we couldn’t help ourselves with this one. We had to do multiple posts in a row (and possibly even add an additional post in our later pages when we finish production).

Pejman and Goli, we had an incredible time with you guys. We are sad to see you guys move to Arizona, we will miss you both! Pejman, whenever you are in town, give us a call so we can go ball it up ;)

We started the day with some preparation photos of our beautiful bride at a nearby Embassy Suites in Brea, CA.

Library is really a deceiving name for the Richard Nixon Library. It’s really a historic site, with a lot of landmarks that we were able to play with in our photos.

The Nixon Library also has plenty of beautiful, shaded areas, perfect for our bride and groom on their wedding day.

Richard Nixon Library Wedding in Yorba Linda | Pejman and Goli Persian Ceremony

This is a continuation of the wedding in Yorba Linda of Pejman and Goli at the Richard Nixon Library. The perfect Orange County weather, the beautiful decor, and the emotion in the ceremony created an ideal scene for Pejman and Goli’s Persian wedding ceremony at the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda.

The Sofreh was gorgeous and very well done. It looked incredible with the sun back lighting everything on the table.

For those unfamiliar with Persian weddings, during the ceremony family members and close friends take turns grinding sugar over the bride and grooms heads. It is to symbolize the sweetness and love that is to be in their marriage.

As wedding photographers, trying to capture that true candid with the right frame is always a fun challenge. It almost becomes a game between yourself and the subject. Sometimes it’s a waiting game, with the frame and crop in mind. Other times it’s a game of quickness. Either way, it’s one of the most fun aspects of our job; and we’re happy to get these types of results as you can see the parents of the bride and groom laughing at one of the jokes made by the officiant.

This image was actually taken before the ceremony, but I feel like it fit better here (rather than with the couples pictures in the previous post). The Nixon Library has a classic architecture that created a very symmetrical backdrop for our wedding party. With such a fun group of girls, it we were able to come away with a lot of great bridal party formals. The parasols were a fabulous idea Goli ;)

Nixon Library Yorba Linda Wedding Reception | Pejman and Goli

This is a continuation of the Richard Nixon Library Wedding of Pejman and Goli in Yorba Linda that we’ve been showcasing in the past two posts. As mentioned, the Nixon Library is one of our favorite wedding photography locations; and you’ll be able to see why when you see the gorgeous reception hall. The coordinator, Ashley Powell, did an incredible job putting together all of the details. From start to finish there was so much of Pejman and Goli’s personalities throughout the wedding details. From His/Her candy selections to a personalized Arizona Cardinals and Phoenix Suns cake for Pejman.

With everyone standing and forming an aisle, (this naturally happened by the way) a lot more emotion was capture in the image as opposed to an entrance with everyone sitting or standing at their tables. As you can see, it was all smiles for Pejman, Goli and their family and friends.

The beautiful dance floor of the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda created the perfect mood for our lovely couple. We went with a lot of video light for these shots to preserve the ambiance and mood during the first dance of the wedding reception.

The water in front of the Nixon Library created the opportunity for some great reflection shots. We have a few more that we’ll show you in our additional post from this wedding.

The Best of Lin and Jirsa Photography

It’s crazy how time flies. I can’t believe it’s already been a few years since we opened up our studio and started scrapping for gigs, posting on Craigslist, and taking jobs for as low as $500 for an entire days work. As I revamped our site and gave it a new look and feel, I had a chance to go through our old portfolio and reflect on the evolution of our photography style and business. We’ve definitely come a long way since our first shoot for a small advertisement for a small local school district. Throughout the years, our style has evolved to what it is today; but it’s still crazy to look back and see how many of our best shots came from our first few months of, or even before, officially opening our own studio.

I created this slideshow for our main Lin and Jirsa page, but I thought I’d share it here too. Enjoy!

Long Beach Debut Photography | Happy B Day Tracey!

Last weekend, we had the chance to shoot Debut of Tracey in Long Beach. The 18th Birthday party was a coming of age celebration- full of toasts, dances, slideshows and great food. I love shooting events that are full of emotion. Her court, her family, and all of her friends filled the ballroom with laughter and excitement during dinner and the dancing portions of the evening; and the slideshows and toasts provided plenty of and emotion and tears. Happy B Day Tracey; and we hope you enjoy the photos!
