Ridiculous door games, a live jazz band, and beautiful Northern California Weather were the things we had going for us when we shot Bruce and Wenying’s wedding a little while back. The ceremony and reception were held at the Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club, a wonderful venue for a wedding. They have a great staff that is more than helpful in escorting us around the golf course (and making sure we don’t get hit by any golf balls); and their ceremony and reception areas are both gorgeous. The day started with the bride and groom getting ready at their homes, Bruce in Cupertino and Wenying in Fremont. After a few shots of the boys, we all hopped into the limo and cruised on over to grab a bite to eat. The first picture is the groomsmen, apparently feeling the romance in the air of their friend’s wedding day and feeding each other some fries.

I love door games. There are always so many fun moments, smiles, and expressions during this brief moment before the tea ceremony. I feel like we could create an entire slideshow from just door game pictures, but here’s just one of the many shots taken just outside of Wenying’s home.

When we arrived, we went right into the couples session and bridal party pictures around the golf course. Here’s one of our favorites.

We decided to post produce this image in a couple different ways because we couldn’t decide which one we liked better. Here’s the other version of the bridal party shot.

The Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club has a great shaded area right in the middle of their course. It’s a great place to take couples shots, as long as you can dodge a couple of golf balls here and there.

Here we have Bruce looking at his beautiful bride walking down the aisle, just before the outdoor wedding ceremony.

The reception hall was beautifully decorated. Wenying’s choice of flowers helped create a colorful, vibrant atmosphere.

We had a couple of minutes to sneak out for another quick couples session before dinner started in front of the waterfall on the golf course.

The live jazz band rocked the house throughout the wedding reception, playing old school and contemporary hits.

As the groom, you know you did a good job when you have the girlfriends admiring the ring.

The first dance on the Palo Alto Hills Country Club was a poignant moment shared between the newlyweds.

The right lens flare and the right expressions create great moments on the dance floor.

Nice dip guys! You must have gotten some practice during our couples session.

We snuck out again for a few night shots of our bride and groom on the golf course. The Palo Alto sky setting in the background created dramatic silhouettes.

This is one of my favorite shots from the wedding because of the little sneaky guy in the back, running through with a rose in his hand.
