When we were approached to shoot Tony and Shalini’s wedding we were pleasantly surprised and quite flattered. You all may know Tony Potts as he is one of the hosts of the ever popular TV show Access Hollywood. However, his fiancee and now wife Shalini Vadhera, is equally impressive. In addition to being a hugely successful celebrity make-up artist, Shalini also has her own entire make-up line!

However, I would have to say the most impressive thing about this dynamic duo is their wonderfully genuine and kind personalities. Right from meeting Tony and Shalini for the first time, they made us feel comfortable and as if we had been good friends for years. When you meet their families, it is obvious that Tony and Shalini’s wonderfully warm personalities is definitely a family trait.

Tony and Shalini, from preparation, to the reception, to all the fun bonding time we had driving our beautiful couple around in my Prius, we simply had a blast with you both. You are a beautiful couple on the inside just as much as the outside. We wish you both the best in your new lives together as husband and wife!

Before we get to the good stuff, we would like to thank the vendors involved in the wedding and give a special thanks to Dulari Amin and Marie Boschert of Imli Events. Her and her team did a wonderful job in not only the planning and design of the wedding, but also in their execution and day of coordination. Our day started off with preparation at the beautiful Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey.

Shalini dawned over $100,000 worth of gold and diamond jewelry including this amazing necklace and pair of earrings below by Highglow Jewelers.

Naturally, Shalini took care of her own makeup. However, she had one of her best friends and stylist John Patrick. John did a simply fabulous job which I am sure he knows.

Gorgeous eyes, beautiful hair, Shalini was simply stunning.

While the day was quite busy and full of events, we managed to steal a few moments from Tony and Shalini here and there to grab some shots at the Ritz Carlton. Tony and Shalini were quite gracious in giving us whatever time we requested, not to mention they trusted us quite a bit for having never worked with us before. I think they will agree that the pictures below turned out OK though =).

After preparation, the first look, and our initial couple session at the Ritz Carlton, we headed over to the lush gardens of the Lake Shrine Temple for the ceremony. The ceremony itself was a sacred and private affair, so shooting during the ceremony was actually prohibited. However, before and right after Tony and Shalini were pronounced husband and wife, we were able to shoot and shoot we did!

From the scenery, to the guests and celebrities it seemed like everywhere you looked there were beautiful subjects to be captured. Quite the photographer’s paradise I must say. It was tough picking only a few shots for the post, but we managed to finally select a few of our favorites for the entry below. Enjoy!

The ceremony site itself was setup right in front of the Lake Shrine Temple arches set right in front of the lake.

Just behind the arches, you can see the entire lake and garden as shown below. We hope our pictures do justice to Lake Shrine’s amazing scenery.

Escorted by her handsome father and lovely mother, Shalini made her way down the isle.

There is nothing like groom seeing his bride-to-be coming down the isle, it is one of our favorite shots and the one below is no exception.

Just before the ceremony began and the cameras were shot off, we grabbed this shot from across the lake overlooking the ceremony site at the Lake Shrine Temple.

The ceremony concluded, Tony and Shalini were pronounced man and wife, showered with rose pedals and we were able to begin shooting again! I love their happy expressions in this image. While life is full of pleasure and happy moments, their expressions below are ones of pure love and joy.

Guests were all provided with bubbles, which most put to good use =)

Shaun Robinson, Tony’s co-host on Access Hollywood and good friend was also present showing her love and support. Boy, its easy making people look good when they already look fabulous!

We stole a few minute to get a classic HDR shot at Lake Shrine Temple LJP style.

The Lake Shrine Temple staff were quite gracious in allowing us to stay a few minutes after closing to grab a few shots of our couple. I love this candid shot of our newly weds walking, talking and enjoying their new moments as husband and wife.
