Bride’s Tip | Planning for Family Formals

February 20th, 2011

The following is an entry with some tips for our brides (and grooms of course). For more tips, check out “Tips for Your Wedding Day” on our main site. These blog entries are in addition to the tips you’ll find on our website that we update every once in a while. To see all of them, please click here.

Standing in high heels and a heavy wedding dress in the exact same spot holding the same smile for an hour isn’t exactly the most appealing part of the wedding day. Efficiency is key in planning for family formals. Here’s a guide to help things run smoothly.

1) Have your formals immediately after the ceremony when everyone is gathered and in one place (with seating).
2) Have the officiant announce for the family (and whomever else you want in the formal pictures) to stick around.
3) Assign family members from each side to organize and keep the formals flowing. Choose the loudest, most brash family member you can think of :).
4) Be organized with a detailed list of each grouping. A list on the program is a great way to inform family members when they should be in pictures.

Urban Engagement Session Photography | Olivia and Rick

February 16th, 2011

This engagement session is particularly significant to the LJP family, as Olivia is the sister of Justin’s Wife. When it’s family, you gotta go all out! We started the day at the beach and ended up in downtown Los Angeles to take advantage of the beautiful urban lights and urban architecture, shoot time and travel time totalling over 8 hours. Well, it was all worth it! Not only did we get to know the new members of the family, but we came away with some of our favorite night shots to-date. We’ll post the beach pictures as we finish them up, but we wanted to show the night urban engagement session photos first.

We hope you enjoy!

wedding photography leeds Every bride and groom deserves to have the best photography services for their weddings and therefore, you would have to decide and pick the best one available. Having different options for wedding photography Leeds would only confuse you but that does not mean that you would not have the chance to get what you deserve.
Sandy Anybody who plans of getting married would spent as much as they could to get pictures like this. The shots of every picture makes you fall in love to your partner over and over again. The pictures are just simple beautiful. Especially the third picture in the above its amazing. If I would get married I would like to have pictures like these.

Caltech Engagement Photography Pasadena | Judy and Neil

February 16th, 2011

I love engagement sessions on College Campuses. We had done UCLA, Cal Berkeley, Stanford but never Caltech. So when Judy and Neil said they wanted to do theirs on the Caltech campus in Pasadena, Neil’s Alma mater, we were excited to see what we would find there. The campus didn’t disappoint. With gorgeous shaded areas and trees, interesting architecture, and peaceful nooks and crannies, it was a great backdrop to capture the love and personalities of Judy and Neil. We hope you enjoy the images; and your wedding next month is going to be a blast!

Orange County Engagement Photography | Shella and Paul

February 12th, 2011

Lifestyle engagement photography is so much easier when your couple is as relaxed, natural and fun as Shella and Paul. The Orange County weather didn’t disappoint for this engagement session; and we took full advantage of the gorgeous sunset. We also found a cool tunnel with graffiti and unique lighting, a scene that fit the personalities of this modern and stylish couple. Enjoy the images!
