Andy and Christina met in Arizona during our first year of graduate school. The first time they really hung out, it was sort of a set-up, going to a Halloween haunted house with some friends (although Christina was the only one that didn’t know what was going on). But it worked because they have pretty much been inseparable since then. They love being outdoors, traveling, going to the beach, but also enjoy lazy days at home watching movies… Sounds like the good life. Congrats you two!

The wedding ceremony for Sean and Cyrene was held at the Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica. Every detail of the ceremony was planned with great intention and purpose. It was important to the couple that the ceremony honored and glorified God as they declared their commitment to one another publicly in front of their closest family and friends. From the music, to the homily, the parents blessing, and to the exchange of rings and vows, it was the couple’s hope that the ceremony would touch the hearts of their guests as they celebrated their deep love for God and for each other.

Cyrene and her bridesmaids (in the picture above) were having too much fun with the champagne in the bridal suite when champagne sprayed all over the bridesmaids dresses! But the bridesmaids were quick on their toes with 3 hair-dryers and all was fixed in time for the ceremony. Wonder Bridesmaids 2011!

After the “couples session” on the beach, the zipper of Cyrene’s gown bursted open! But not to fear, the Wonder Bridesmaids to the rescue… Emergency sewing kit – check! Reassuring words to calm the bride – check! The Wonder Bridesmaids were able to sew Cyrene into her gown, thanks to their team work and the mad sewing skills of her pint-size bridesmaid Rose. Picture ready for the grand entrance!

There are times when things just click, and I am not talking about shutters and photography. I am talking about feeling like you have known someone for 10 years, despite just meeting.

That’s how it was when I met Joe and Hillary. Despite not shooting an engagement session or meeting prior to the wedding, we just clicked. I am sure that it helps that Joe looks just like the Jewish version of this crazy Persian. We had a good laugh about that when we first saw each other =).

Anyway, we clicked, and from start to finish everything seemed to come together perfectly. To Joe and Hillary, congratulations and best wishes on your lives together. I know that you guys are going to have a long and happy life together… you just seem to… well, click ;)

I always know it’s going to be a good day when I am sitting in bridal prep, and my bridesmaids are already cracking inappropriate jokes without a single drink in them. The good times can only get better from there, and might I say we had quite a great time with Shirley, Seth and their whole gang.

For me, I think the highlights had to have been my lovely bridesmaids (one in particular, you know who you are ;)  who loved to give me the “stink eye” in every picture. The boys, who when told, “you can do whatever you want to the groom” did some pretty awesomely indescribable things to the groom. And my couple, Seth and Shirley, who are two of the most relaxed, easy going and genuine people I have had the pleasure of meeting.
