A little while ago, we were honored to be a part of Chad and Valinda’s wedding. We previously shot this couple in Laguna beach for their engagement session (click here to view their engagement pictures). We started the day with some preparation shots of the bride and groom at Balboa Inn in Newport Beach. Afterwards, we moved over to the St Joachim church in Costa Mesa for the wedding ceremony. Thank you both for allowing us to be a part of your celebration; and we hope to see you guys again soon!

The beautiful St. Joachim Church in Costa Mesa, CA was a perfect setting and environment for our lovely couple to celebrate their union.
The young priest gave a great sermon at the St. Joachim Church in Costa Mesa.
The advantage of having multiple photographers at the wedding is the ability for one photographer to sneak over and capture unique angles of the ceremony. The lights streaming in through the window of St. Joachim church created unique lighting.

The expressions on Chad and Valinda’s faces were so full of joy and affection throughout the entire day.

The reception was held at the beautiful Balboa Inn in Newport Beach. Located right next to the beach, the cozy reception hall was beautifully decorated.
Here’s an row of Chad + Valinda’s delicate party favors. The dramatic tungsten lighting is courtesy of the balboa inn’s cozy reception hall.
The problem with most garter tosses is that most guys put in very little effort to catch the garter. As a former football player, Chad came up with a great idea to give the single guys a little more incentive to go for that garter by wrapping a football and cash inside the garter.

Last week, we took the wonderful couple, Chad & Valinda, to one of the most gorgeous spots in the Orange County. Laguna Beach, both downtown and the many beaches, is the ideal photographer’s playground, with interesting textures, beautiful architecture, and stunning sunsets.
