Hey guys,
This is the first part of a five part post of Shervin and Fariba’s wedding that took place at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort. I know, I know, you are probably thinking, “five parts, geez!” Well, there is not much I can say other than after I finished sorting pictures for the portfolio and blog, I had over 300 shots! I was even being quite stringent too! You guys have no idea how long it took me to narrow it down to only 40.
Anyway, while every wedding is special and filled with emotion, occasionally you come across a bride and groom that radiates such happiness and love that it overflows to everyone around them. That is the best way I can describe Shervin and Fariba’s wedding. Everywhere we looked people were laughing, crying with joy, and just feeling the love that Shervin and Fariba have for each other. Hopefully, you will all agree that we captured this emotion and love within our imagery.
Shervin and Fariba, we hope you love the photos as much as we loved creating them for you. As our good friends, we wish you all the best in your marriage. Have a blast on your honeymoon, we look forward to seeing you when you both get back!
Without further adieu, here is a few shots from our time with our couple during their preparation.
Just a nice warm shot of one of our bridesmaids. I wish I could post more, but I am worried my partners may kill me =).
And here is our bride getting her makeup done in her room at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort.
This is the gorgeous dress our bride got to change into. I must thank Jonathan, the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort Coordinator, he saw me taking this shot and was a bit worried though kind enough to let us do it. I know, sometimes we photographers can be quite obnoxious, but hey, I was super careful and I think you will agree that it turned out OK, yes? (No paintings were harmed in the making of this photo)

Shervin & Fariba – Huntington Beach Wedding Photography – Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort – Couples Shoot

We love to take our couples out during their wedding day for a nice 1 hour session with their beloved photographers. Here are just a few of the images we created with Shervin and Fariba. Doesn’t hurt that they are absolutely gorgeous!
Before we started our couples shoot, we setup a “First Look” for Shervin and Fariba in one of the obscure halls in the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort near their reception room.
I love first look emotions.
After the First Look, we started the couples session when we spotted a piano nearby. Shervin is quite the pianist we must say.
Yeah, this is when you all write or call Shervin and tell him he is a lucky man. Isn’t our bride beautiful?
Every couples session needs some traditional portraits, you know, for the parents!

The Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort had pretty much every background possible.
Fariba, your eyes are insane!
During our couple shoot, we managed to grab this nice artistic shot in front of the alter and Sofreh at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort.
Fariba and Shervin, I am sure you thought I was a weirdo for making you do the “praying” pose, hopefully you like the shot below =).
We had a few minutes during sunset to grab our couple and head out to Huntington Beach, which conveniently was just across the street from the Hilton Waterfront Hotel. Fariba takes credit for the great idea of heading to the beach… that’s ok though, we take credit for the shots =).
So the Huntington Beach bridge had this unique tower that we used as a classic “Lin and Jirsa upground.”

Shervin and Fariba’s ceremony at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort was amazing, here are just a few of our pics.
Here is Shervin being escorted to the alter by his mother and father. The entire venue at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort was amazing.
Shortly after, Fariba was escorted by her parents down the isle. I love all the looks and happy expressions she got from the crowd as she walked by.
Over the shoulder in style, our couple sees each other at the alter for the first time.

While we couldn’t get into a high balcony room at the Hilton Waterfront Hotel, there were tons of opportunities for unique shots and framing.

We had a blast partying with Shervin and Fariba’s crew at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort. Here are just a few shots of the reception good times.
The reception started off with a bang as the bride and groom was escorted into the room with a crew of Persian belly dancers.
I would like to think we brought a whole new level of photography to the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort.
After the belly dancing stopped, our couple got up and began their first dance. You have no idea how hard it was to only pick 2 of these pictures.

Here are just a few of the many detail shots we took throughout our day with Shervin and Fariba at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort
Before the reception started, we had to grab some detail shots of the Sofreh, a spread placed in front of the alter of Persian weddings. Each item on the Sofreh has a specific meaning and purpose.
Here is a shutter drag shot taken by our Associate Photographer, Max. This is Shervin and Fariba’s beautiful reception room at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort.
The lighting in the reception hall was so unique that we used it for some of our detail shots. Below is a silhouette shot of the drummer.
What is wedding photography without a cake shot, and what is a cake shot without some nice bokeh?
We love our backlit scenes. The reception hall at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort had all sorts of great back-lights which we used to create the ring shot below.
