The sun was shining on a gorgeous southern California day as Judith got ready for her wedding ceremony at the Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes. As she prepared for the big moment with her close family and friends, you could sense the excitement, mixed with a little nervousness. But most of all, you could sense her appreciation, as her warm, genuine smile lit up the room every time she saw a family member or friend throughout the day.

We’re really lucky to have been able to meet both Judith and Damien. Since their engagement session, I’ve looked forward to seeing this awesome, fun couple again. Their family and friends are such great people, and we hope we captured their personalities in the images below! Here are a few of the images from the wedding. Part of capturing any moment is getting multiple views of the same moment. I love starting with a shot, zooming out and backing up for another, and then zooming out and backing up again for a set of shots. Here’s an example of what I’m talking about:

The Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes has a feel and ambiance that you really can’t find anywhere else. The large glass windows, the beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean, the old stone steps, and the gorgeous wooden pews make the Wayfarers Chapel a truly unique experience. It was the perfect place for Kat and Dustin to have their wedding ceremony.

As you look through the images in this post, the next post detailing the reception at the Trump National Golf Club, we hope you can get a sense for how amazing, genuine, sincere, and in love these two are. It’s weddings like theirs that remind me how awesome my job is to be able to meet such great people and witness the most important day of their lives.

The gorgeous Wayfarers Chapel has light streaming in from all directions that create interesting streaks that we were able to bring out in the camera and a little bit of creative post production.  When we can’t decide which version we like better, we always post both, so we have both the black and white and the color versions below.
