Caltech Engagement Photography Pasadena | Judy and Neil

I love engagement sessions on College Campuses. We had done UCLA, Cal Berkeley, Stanford but never Caltech. So when Judy and Neil said they wanted to do theirs on the Caltech campus in Pasadena, Neil’s Alma mater, we were excited to see what we would find there. The campus didn’t disappoint. With gorgeous shaded areas and trees, interesting architecture, and peaceful nooks and crannies, it was a great backdrop to capture the love and personalities of Judy and Neil. Oneonta Congregational Church Wedding South Pasadena | Jennifer and David

Love comes when you least expect it. As an international student at USC, Jen was upset that she wasn’t able to return to Taiwan in the summer of 2003 due to SARS outbreak in Asia. Since early 2003, Dave had been praying to God for his future wife but didn’t expect his prayers to be answered this quickly! Dave & Jen met at camping trip that summer and have never been apart since then. They have learned a lot from each other and their love grew stronger as the days went by. After dating for 7 years, Dave & Jen decided to tie the knot at the gorgeous Oneonta Congregational Church in South Pasadena.

Pasadena Engagement Session Photography | Jen and Billy

October 14th, 2010

Fun, easy-going, personable, not afraid to be a little goofy. These are all things that describe Jen and Billy. We decided to do their engagement session over in downtown Pasadena, with it’s small town charm and unique architecture. And we included a little bonus night session over in downtown Los Angeles, taking advantage of the grandeur of the city lights and the beautiful fountains.

As you glance through these pictures, keep in mind that.. yes.. that is a successful manager at a big company riding a statue of a fox; and yes… that is a senior manager at a prestigious accounting firm getting arrested by security. Well actually that security picture is staged, but you get my point. We had a blast during this engagement session; and we can’t wait for the wedding!

The Walt Disney Concert Hall is a great place to do some night photography, Playing with the lighting temperatures, you can really create a unique, futuristic look. The staff is fun and friendly; and they usually don’t mind you shooting there unless there’s an event. They’re even willing to get in the pictures. :)

Pasadena City Hall Wedding Photography | Allan and Rhonda

March 2nd, 2010

A few months ago, we shot the wedding of Allan and Rhonda in Covina. Prior to the wedding, we decided that we also wanted “day after shoot,” a session we planned in order to get in yet another location and create more imagery without the time crunch of the wedding day. For their shoot, our couple chose to go to Pasadena City Hall, a great building with amazing architecture, unique lighting situations, and very photography-friendly rules. We had a great time with our awesome couple, and came away with some great images.
