The day Rocky and Jackie got married was as beautiful as the wedding itself. Chase Palm Park is a quaint club house located right on the beach in downtown Santa Barbara. After photographing so many weddings, is so refreshing to see as many unique aspects in the details of the wedding as we did on this day. From the grand entrance to the decor, their personalities were expressed in every detail. For example, Rocky’s grand entrance was orchestrated on several tandem bikes, which the boys all rode in on during the ceremony. Also, Rocky and Jackie took the liberty of dressing up their dog in a cute tuxedo. All in all, we had a great time together, and the day was capped off with some awesome night time shots right on the beach with the lights of Stearns Wharf in the background. Here we have our elegant bride and her parents as she walked down the aisle at Chase Palm Park.

The groom had a huge smile on his face throughout the entire ceremony, and you could see how happy he was in all the images.

It took a couple tries to light the candles in the outdoor venue of Chase Palm Park, but the moment provided for some great imagery.

The excitement of the wedding day carried on into the evening, as the couple and their wonderful guests partied and celebrated their marriage at Chase Palm Park.

I was able to quickly sneak outside to take a couple of night venue shots.

Here our couple shares their first dance on the Chase Palm Park dance floor.

During the party, we went outside to capture a few intimate moments between the bride and groom.

While Justin and Chris were off shooting destination weddings all over the country, I had the opportunity of heading up to Santa Barbara for our friends Daniel and Jenna’s wedding. We head up to Santa Barbara quite often for weddings and engagements, however, this time I thought that since I was traveling alone, that maybe I would take the train rather than driving all by my lonesome. Since I was young, I have always thought of trains as kind of a romantic way of getting from one place to the next. While it made the day a little longer, it definitely made the day far more relaxing as I was able to mix working with staring out at the scenic Pacific coast line.

Anyway, I arrived at Eling’s Park which was perched on top of a large hill overlooking the entire city of Santa Barbara. Eling’s
Park is divided into several smaller coves in order to allow multiple events to each have their own private area of the park. Daniel and Jenna did an amazing job with the overall design of their ceremony and reception decor. They used very light colors, and a minimalistic approach to the entire day that was tasteful and eloquent, but that also allowed you to feel as though you were still primarily surrounded by nature rather than snuffing out the natural beauty of the cove with artificial decorations.

While the time flew by, I had a wonderful time shooting with our couple and their guests. Between the ceremony, formals, couples shoot and reception, we even had some time to get in some wild shots with the bridal party.

So, without further adieu, congratulations Daniel and Jenna and we wish you both the best in your new life together as husband and wife. Enjoy the photos, there will be many more to come!

Here is the pristine Santa Barbara view from our little cove up on Elings Park. You can see the fog rolling in over the city.

The details at the wedding were well-planned and very well executed.

We had a great couples session at Elings Park in Santa Barbara.

During the couple session, I had a lot of fun throwing in jokes here and there to see if they could keep a straight face. Looks like I won this one =)

Our bride and groom for this Santa Barbara wedding had a great sense of style. As both of them are professional chef’s, the food, hor’devours, and drinks were prepared with intricacy. The centerpieces were custom designed, the lighting was hand selected, and the even had an overall logo. All of us photographers who captured the wedding all agreed that this couple would be great wedding and event coordinators, as their simple, elegant, and modern style really gave the wedding a unique and lively feel. We’ll start off with a few shots of the details and venue.
